Do It Yourself- Spa Gift Basket -

You can do it yourself.  It's a quick, easy and lovely spa gift basket for someone special in your life.

Most of the items you can find in a Dollar or discount store.  Search the sales shelves in your local drugstore.

Find a suitable container.  A basket, a box, even a gift bag will work.  Again the $$ store and they have them a Goodwill and Salvation Army stores.

Be sure it's sturdy and if possible have a handle to make it easy to carry to the bathroom.

I lined mine with a soft towel, folded to fit the basket and rolled up a hand towel and facecloth, laying them vertically along side the outer part of the basket.

This is an ideal candle type for the center of the basket.

Surround it with body and bath supplies you found at the discount store.

Here's a list of some of the supplies I recommend.

  • Body Brush
  • Loofah
  • Fragrant Body Wash  = unless there is an allergy to fragrant soap.
  • Body Oil
  • Bathe Crystals - See below to make your own.
  • Facial Mask
  • Wine Glass with a small bottle of wine
  • or Tea Cup with fragrant tea bag
  • After bath massage oil or body cream

Homemade Bath Crystals

1 Cup Sea Salt or Epsom Sale - available in grocery stores
1/4 tsp Glycerin
Food color
Essential Oils, Cologne or Perfume
Jar with a lid or plastic zip lock bag.

Pour salts into a bowl, add the rest of the ingredients sparingly, you don't want the liquid to dissolve the salt. Mix together.

Pour into container.  Tie with a ribbon or raffia string. add a caring note and give to that special person in your life, could be a girlfriend, mother or wife.

If doing it yourself isn't for you, here are a couple from Amazon you can choose.
